The first of many greats things unveiled in the latest issue of Japan's number one gaming publication, Weekly Famitsu, was the latest installment in the Castlevania series. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia will be released exclusively for the Nintendo DS and feature a new female heroine as its protagonist. There is also word that co-op will return, but the character whom the second player will take control of has yet to be revealed. You can view the magazine scans from Famitsu below.

Now this is wonderful news. The Castlevania series is a very, very solid and well done franchise. The change to the "Metroidvania" or "Castleroid" or whatever was the perfect direction to take the games in. Combining platforming, free-form exploration, and RPG elements creates one heck of a synergistic combo.
I buy them all, play them all, and yet I never finish a single one. Why?
