Recently, the blog for the new upcoming Street Fighter movie based on everybody's favorite thick-thighed, ass-kickin' babe was made available for public viewing.
I just got done watching Porco Rosso, one of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki's finest films and a personal favorite of mine. So, I'm kind of in the mood to talk about anime for a few. I'll pop in Tekkon Kinkreet as well, once I'm done with this and a bit of homework. But, back to Studio Ghibli, I had no idea that they were at one point involved in making a film based on Winsor McCay's Little Nemo. There was an adaptation made back in 1992 by American studio Hemdale and Japanese animation company TMS, which I absolutely adore. It has great animation, fun characters that I care about, and the story is surprisingly dark. But, I still wonder if Studio Ghibli's vision could have left that one in the dust if it'd have ever actually gone past the pre-production stage. The following short was directed by Yoshifumi Kondo, Hayao Miyazaki's chief animator on his film, Whisper of the Heart. Its main purpose was to serve as a test reel. Hard to believe that this is animation from back in 1984. But, I don't expect anything less from the tremendously talented staff at Studio Ghibli. Enjoy!
This is really quite amazing. Ask your parents or grandparents what it was like when they first saw color television. Hell, you could even ask some the first time they saw a moving picture. This is the next big step. We're only now seeing it with movies like Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds and even more so in flicks like U2 3D. But, James Cameron has something special in store for us and is looking to change the way that we look at films forever... again. Take a look. Enjoy!
OK, you can pretty much disregard my excitement for the Dragon Ball film I had a few minutes ago. I just found some more exclusive pictures with much better resolution. This isn't gonna be good. Sorry. I don't even want to post the pics. I'll let you visit the site for yourself and check them out. I can't say "Enjoy!" this time. The only thing I see right is Muten Roshi's symbol. USA Today was able to unveil a few tidbits regarding Quantum of Solace's storyline today. But, I wouldn't want to waste your time with that. You know you just wanna see Olga and Gemma. No, but seriously, things are looking good for the Quantum of Solace storyline. I won't give much away, but know that the 22nd Bond movie picks up 1 hour after the end of Casino Royale with James continuing his quest to unravel the whole situation Vesper was caught up in. Also, James' new female accomplice Camille, played by Olga Kurylenko is on her own quest for revenge, regarding a currently unknown situation or series of events. This means that she won't succumb to James' charms as easily as many Bond girls have in the past. But, don't worry, you know James gets the girl as always, probably just not her, as far as we know for now. Remember he's still hurting from his tragic relationship with Eva Green's former character, Vesper Lynd. But, we can probably expect Gemma Arterton's character, Fields, to get her fill of James' little double-Os and seven at a point in the flick. ^.^' Vulgarities aside, enjoy the new pics of the Bond girls in character below. Yesterday night the Hellboy II trailer was officially released. The first trailer for the flick wasn't all that impressive. This one looks awesome. I will likely be seeing this and picking up the first Hellboy for viewing as well, as I have yet to see it. Here is the full official trailer for Hellboy II: The Golden Army.
